Choosing a Career in Childcare

The Welsh Assembly Government has recently launched its Play Learn Grow recruitment campaign for the childcare sector. The campaign offers enquirers the chance to access information on training for a career in childcare through local Family Information Services and Learn Direct.

What are the options?

There are many options to choose from. You could decide to look after children in full day care nursery, pre-school, out of school club or holiday playscheme. Alternatively, if you prefer to work from home, you may decide to become a registered childminder, providing care and education for children of all ages.
